The Royal Automobile Museum

One Saturday we made our way to the Royal Automobile Museum.

Jordan's King Abdullah II built the museum in honor of his father, the late King Hussein who ruled rom 1956 until 1999.  Cars (and motorcycles) were a passion of the late King and the museum houses both interestingly displayed against Jordanian history.

                       Outside the museum...

The current King Abdullah II and his father King Hussein
The current king is also a lover of fast cars and was a bit of a daredevil..
A  film that was shown at the beginning of our tour chronicled his motorcycles riding and, before he became king and safety issues became a concern, his love of jumping out of planes.

This is a 1936 Cord.
Beautiful.
